Technical information about the EPEEC minicluster is now available on the web
A new page has been set up in our website to make information about the EPEEC minicluster available to all. A summary of the minicluster system is provided, with details about the base configuration of each node and the heterogeneous computing devices in some of the nodes:
Base configuration of each node:
- 2 Xeon Gold 5218 CPUs @ 2.3GHz
- 64 GB DDR4 @ 2666Mbps
- Interconnection networks:
- InfiniBand FDR 40/56GbE
- 1Gb Ethernet
- Operating System: CentOS 8
Heterogeneous computing devices in some of the nodes:
- 2 nodes with 256GB OptaneDC NVMEM (2x 128Gb DIMMs)
- 2 nodes with AMD Radeon Instinct MI25 GPU
- 1 node with Intel PAC Arria 10 GX FPGA
The EPEEC minicluster is being used to test the emerging technologies developed in the project's programming environment. It is maintained by the AccelCom team at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), headed by EPEEC coordinator Antonio Peña.
